Decorating Pi Projects
Pi day was a hit in Mrs. Bates' class! I was blown away by a lot of these Pi projects. I was really impressed on how creative students were in decorating his or her Pi! Also, thank you to all the faculty, staff, and parents who sent pies in for the students to eat on pie day. Here are some pictures of wonderful Pi projects.

Happy New Year!!!!
I hope everyone had a
wonderful holiday break and are ready to jump into 2013!!! One of my goals for
the New Year is to find a way to communicate more information, resources, and
homework help to my students and parents.
I decided a class blog might just
be the right tool to help get this done.
So welcome to my new class blog, Mrs. Bates’ Math Bits. I am still working on exactly what to include
on the blog but it will contain video tutorials, extra worksheets/examples,
games, and online resources. I will also
be blogging about what we are working on in the classroom to help keep parents informed
and in the loop. After having such a
great first semester, I am pumped to get the second half of our school year
started.
